Ed began his ministry with SALT in July 2021, following many years of pastoral ministry in the USA and abroad, alongside his wife, Sally, as missionaries in three different countries with The Christian and Missionary Alliance. Ed brings many years of teaching and administrative experience in higher biblical education in Peru and the USA. He considers it an honor and joy to serve with a diverse team of leaders from around the world. 

Dr. David C. Hard, Professor and Academic Dean.  Dr Hard received his Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary and his M.Div. degree from Capital Bible Seminary.  He also served on the faculty of Philadelphia Biblical University for over 20 years and was a full-time pastor and interim pastor for seven churches from 1988 to 2010.  Since 2013, he has been a full-time professor at SALT Leadership , and in 2019, he was named Academic Dean.  Before entering gospel ministry, Dr. Hard served in the US Navy for eight years as a flight officer. He hails from southern California and is married to Capt. Karen Hard (USN retired), with whom he has three grown sons and two grandchildren.

Capt. Karen J. Hard (USN Retired) is SALT’s financial director.  Capt. Hard spent 10 years on active duty in the Navy and an additional 20 years in the reserves.  She has extensive leadership experience and an MS degree in Organizational Leadership from Cairn University (formerly Philadelphia Biblical University). Capt. Hard commanded three separate Naval Reserve units and served as the Senior Naval Science Instructor at two high schools.  Karen has served as SALT’s financial director since 2020, creating, maintaining, and processing all donations, and she is the key advisor on all financial decisions.  A native of Nebraska, Karen is the mother of three sons and grandmother of two.

Jose Antonio began his service with SALT in 2007, teaching various courses in countries such as Venezuela, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Mexico, and Chile. He has made over 35 trips with SALT, bringing God’s Word to different cities in each country. Pastor Jose Antonio is married to Ivette. He has served for 35 years in The Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Chile, where he has held various roles, including pastor, missionary, and teacher. He has also held positions as District President and Secretary, as well as Secretary of the Executive Board in Chile. His ministry experience has enabled him to serve with joy, gratitude, and commitment in the development of leaders at the national and international levels.

Rino has been part of SALT LEADERSHIP since 2012 as an interpreter, teacher, and promoter in the coastal, jungle, and highland regions of Peru. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from La Cantuta University and a Bachelor of Theology from the Evangelical Seminary of Lima. He is married to Elizabeth Valdiviezo, and they have a daughter, Isabella Beretta.
