  • Reduce your Required Minimum Distribution(RMD) from your IRA. If you are over 70 ½ years of age and are taking RMDs from your IRA, you can avoid paying taxes on the amount you donate directly from your IRA when taken as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). QCD can be for an amount less than your full RMD. Contact your broker or holder of your IRA to set up a QCD BEFORE taking your RMD.

Africa Matching Gift 〰️

SALT is expanding our mission to train pastors in Africa. Beginning in February we will be opening a second training center in Kakata, Liberia.

Did you know that Liberia is one of the poorest countries in the world?

We help our students there by providing meals while they are in attendance. In return, students give a full week of their time to study the Bible and learn Godly principles to apply to their ministries. However, taking our training to Liberia is a significant expense for SALT Leadership. Each trip to Liberia comes at a cost of over $6,000.

A friend of SALT has offered a matching gift donation of up to $8,000 to help support this project and cover the additional costs. Any donation given between now and Easter will be doubled by this Matching Gift.
